It may seem cocky that I quote myself, but my intention is completely modest.
The strange part about this is that so far throughout the day I seem to have bumped into the most important verse about love from The Bible, it being 1 Corinthians 13:3 *.
Let me know what you think about my own quote. It came to me pretty organically as I was replying to my own post concerning romantic flicks versus reality.
"Love is an intimate knowledge, sharing it is a gift, inspiration is wonderful, but being completely influenced by it leads somewhere else. "
- Marianne Jara
Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, (love) is not pompous, it is not inflated,
it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth.
It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.
- 1 Corinthians 13:3.
1 Cor. 13:3 is so true... well of course since it is in the Bible.
In the world, there is NO way in heck that a person could be all those things .. all the time. Patient, kind, not jealous, pompous.. etc. If someone says that they were always that with someone then I would love to meet them. lol BUT the Lord, who IS love, is always those things. He never fails to be any of those.. even when we as people do. That's so amazing to me. Only through letting him live through me could I possibly be those things to someone else. I love that.
Thanks for sharing! :]
